The BIO Market and an Evening with the Lorenz Family

Paris is known for its open-air food markets, and we are expecially fond of the BIO Marche (all organic) located near our apartment.  The market sells everything: fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, delicious hand-churned butter, and a wonderful assortment of fresh fish:

Plus gorgeous flowers like the roses below.  (Anne got some beautiful tulips for the apartment.)

On Saturday night , we spent the evening with Eric and Hélène and their son Clément.  We met Eric and Hélène many years ago and always enjoy getting together when we are in Paris.  It was so much fun to entertain in our apartment before going out to dinner.  We all enjoy talking politics, so we had some lively discussion about Obama, Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Sarkosy (President of France, up for re-election this spring).

Clément, Eric and Hélène's 6 year old son, is quite an artist and drew a picture of our apartment's unique fireplace, among many others:

Although he was a bit shy at first, Clément really hammed it up when we took a picture of him with "Felix."  Felix belongs to our grandaughter Amber, and he is traveling all around the world as part of a project in Amber's 1st grade class.

Clément and Felix say, "Bonjour, Amber!!"
